Many people think that 2 hours is not long to create something wonderful during one of our workshops. Well, look what you can do in 2 hours. These two pieces are from our morning session with Jan and Tracey. Two completely differing styles and completed within 2 hours – with time for coffee, cake and chat too! Can’t wait to see them once they are fused and slumped into their final design.

Do I need to prepare?

It’s a great idea to have a think about what you want to make beforehand. Especially if you want some specific like the cat in the example light bender below. In these cases if you let us know in advance of your session, we can cut out the animal or shape on our ring saw. This means you don’t waste time on the day whilst we are cutting out shapes for you. It really is a case of ‘look what you can do in 2 hours’.

The photo above and below are the finished items once they have been in the kiln. As you can see they look fabulous, and there’s quite a difference between the before and after in terms of colours and transparency. We will give guidance and help so you have an understanding of how your piece will look once it is fired in the kiln.

This process does make it interesting because the before and after are often quite different.
