Emily's colourful jungle scene complete with animals.

A before and after post here. We thought it would be useful to help you visualise what pieces look like before and after firing in the kiln. These three items were created during one of our 2 hour fused glass workshops and are the creation of Jenny, Emily and Annette. Three clearly talented and creative ladies. Each item is completely different and each has it’s own charm and visual interest. Well done ladies, this is super work. Have a good look at the before and after images as there’s some very interesting changes to colours, shaped and texture.

When you come on one of our workshops we will help you to visualise the before and after of your piece. The colours chosen, the type of glass used and the treatment will all have an effect on the final outcome. Some colours shift dramatically during the firing process when they are subjected to extreme heat. Have a look at the sea scape at the bottom and you can see the green that appears at the bottom once it has been fired. It is certainly a lot less prominent before the firing.
